i feel we are coming out of a long tunnel this past year or so. and finally, we are coming to enjoy more moments like this one, where, as li said, "mama, fi and me are happily eating pretzels and sitting together". and this lasted for *minutes, not seconds, so i got to sit and eat some chips and salsa--fairly uninterrupted! it may seem like a small thing, but quiet moments are rare and precious around here.after a few clingy days (possibly due to molars coming in), fi spent much of today practicing her walking. just walking around and around--so pleased to have this new freedom.
li has been spending increasing chunks of the day in his imaginative world. i try to stay out of the way and let it flow. his scenarios usually involve animal or people figures combined with trucks.
